Goosegrass (Galium aparine) is another plant with many common names including stickyweed, cleavers, sticky willy and velcro weed.

Goosegrass grows horizontally or sprawls over other plants.  It attaches itself to passers by with small hooked hairs on the stems and leaves.  This mechanism aids seed dispersal and causes much amusement to primary school children.

Geese relish goosegrass but the leaves can cause contact dermatitis in humans.
