World in a seed head

There’s a lot going on in this one seed head of orchard grass.

Seeds are falling out, tiny maggots are eating the seed and a spider is parcelling a fly.

This spider may be a spotted orb weaver.   There are several spiders of this genus Araniella, although it is difficult to identify them confidently as there seems to be a lot of colour variation.
