The spindles (Euonymus europaeus) we planted this year flowered but did not produce any fruit.  Happily the unsubtle seed  can be found in the hedgerows to the north of the wood.

The pink seed casings and orange seeds are pretty yet poisonous.  Unfortunately young children are attracted by the garish colouring.
