We remembered to pick some wild garlic leaves whilst still young this year.

The test recipe was wild garlic omelette, with the ransoms wilted into the egg mixture. The raw wild garlic tastes garlicky, if over-cooked it begins to taste of onion.

The omelette had a gentle flavour, but my dining experience was marred by anxiety that I might have accidentally gathered some leaves of lords & ladies, the berries of which are poisonous (and other plant parts also).
