We feed the birds in the wood as it’s a good way of seeing what species there are in there. The answer is, all the usual suspects such as great tits, blue tits, robins, blackbirds, magpies, jays.
The woodland squirrels are proving very sneaky and break into both the feeders and the storage bins in the wood.
Squirrels chew their way through plastic garden feeders with ease, or knock the tops off unless they are wired on.
They also chew their way into the large tubs stored under the table to replenish the feeders. I have now deployed a reinforced crate with a 3-digit padlock to confuse them.
